The Yamaha R15 V 3.0 will replace the R15 V2 when launched in India. However we expect the manufacturer to continue selling the R15 S, which is the highest selling R15 model in India, for a bit before taking it off the market. Speaking of which – the Fazer rumbles along at roughly 6500rpm at 100kmph in top gear, and while the chassis, suspension, brakes and the expansive seating position all allow you to think you could hold that speed all day, it is surprisingly the engine that is the party pooper. It is a relaxed unit in top gear at 60 and even 80kmph, but feels strained at the ton.

My daily commuting time by car has increased from a total of 3.5 hours to 5 hours now, thanks to a never ending construction of a bridge enroute to work and the ever growing vehicle population in Mumbai. This has resulted in more fatigue and lesser time spent with family as I’ve been wasting hours in the traffic. I finally shifted to two-wheelers when the Yamaha FZ25 entered the BikeWale long term garage.
